FAQs

Nevada HAND is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that develops and manages affordable housing communities in Southern Nevada. We are the largest nonprofit affordable housing developer in the state, with 35 family, senior, and assisted living communities in our portfolio. We prioritize the stability and wellness of our residents by building communities that are “more than a home” and connecting residents with resources that allow them to live well.

There are more than 8,000 children, working adults, and seniors on fixed incomes who call a Nevada HAND community their home. We are continually working to develop and build additional communities to welcome even more Southern Nevada neighbors in need of affordable housing.

Nevada HAND was established by Mike Mullin in 1993. For three decades, our organization has served thousands of Nevada’s most vulnerable residents, and we continue to create communities and opportunities for seniors and families with modest incomes. For more information on our history, click here.

Nevada HAND does not provide direct rental assistance; however, our Resident Services teams are available to connect residents with financial resources that may provide rental assistance.

Nevada HAND’s Home Office is located at 295 E. Warm Springs Road, Suite 101, Las Vegas, NV 89119. We have 35 affordable housing communities throughout the Las Vegas Valley, and you can locate them on our Explore Our Homes page.

Nevada HAND has 35 communities across Southern Nevada. You can learn more about each community on the Explore Our Homes page. There is a navigable map and links to property websites, where you can learn more about an individual community.

Currently, Nevada HAND only has communities in areas of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson. We maintain an extensive peer network throughout the U.S., however, for feedback, best practices, advocacy, and support.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, Nevada HAND is strengthened by the generosity of our community. We encourage you to make your tax-deductible donation
