We were proud to join the team at Decatur Commons Senior Apartments for a special ceremony! Assistant Property Manager Cindy Dorado-Ortiz, who serves in the Army National Guard, was joined by a representative from the Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR) office to present Property Manager Renee Hellebrand with the ESGR Patriot Award. ESGR is a Department of Defense office, established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers.
The Patriot Award recognizes an employer’s efforts to support citizen warriors and their families.
As Cindy shared in her nomination form, Renee “facilitated the ability to conduct my military duties by working with my schedule as needed and reaching out to me and my family, even on my days away from work . . . to provide words of encouragement and support. [Renee] provided security of my position and made me feel . . . part of a bigger family called Nevada HAND.”
We are proud to have Guard and Reserve service members and Armed Forces veterans on our team!
