When our team helps connect our residents with resources, it means more than a few dollars in their pockets. Sometimes, it means being able to stay in their home and maintain access to those resources. Recently, our Resident Services and Property Management teams helped Judith, a resident at one of our independent senior communities, obtain housing assistance. Judith says:
“Every year I often worry about my rent increasing. I get so stressed out about not being able to afford my rent. I worry about not having enough money to buy food, pay household bills, and paying for my monthly prescriptions. I recently received a letter from [the] Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority stating that I have been approved for housing assistance.
When I read the letter, I immediately went to see the property manager. I was excited, happy, and felt such relief that I can continue to be a resident here. The help and support I receive was greatly appreciated. I would like to thank my Resident Services Coordinator and Property Manager for all the help they have given me.”
